When you commit to writing a blog post every day like I have, there's an internal understanding that each post won't be substantive. On Sunday, I wrote about the length of each major sport's offseason. Yesterday, I reviewed a New York Times from 1942 to see how baseball was covered during the start of World War II. Today, I take a break from hard-hitting journalism.

A quick Google search reveals that the same thing happened in Oakland in 2013. To the idiot that lost his car in the fire; at least you saw an A's Opening Day win (and a Mike Trout homer).
