Top five moments in Cubs-White Sox history

July 25, 2017 Peter Elliott

The White Sox beat the Cubs earlier today, 3-1. That means the White Sox hold the all-time advantage with 58 wins to the Cubs 51. And if the other three games are anything like the past two years, we'll get a clean 2-2 split. Doesn't make for entertaining podcasting between Paul and I...

The Cubs and White Sox rivalry can feel a little forced at times (#crosstowncup), but there have been some great on-field moments. Here are my top five.

5. Arrieta's complete game and homer (2015)

4. Carlos Lee Walk-off Grand Slam (2001)

6/8/01: Carlos Lee hits a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning, giving the White Sox a 7-3 win over the crosstown rival Cubs Check out http://m.mlb.com/video for our full archive of videos, and subscribe on YouTube for the best, exclusive MLB content: http://youtube.com/MLB About MLB.com: Commissioner Allan H.

2. Jordan's double (1994)

4/7/1994: Michael Jordan hits a ground-rule double to left field to even the score against the Cubs in an exhibition game Check out http://m.mlb.com/video for our full archive of videos, and subscribe on YouTube for the best, exclusive MLB content: http://youtube.com/MLB About MLB.com: Commissioner Allan H.

1. Pierzynski-Barrett Fight (2006)

5/20/06: A.J. Pierzynski barrels into Michael Barrett to score on a sac fly, causing Barrett to react and both White Sox and Cubs benches to clear. 2018 Over/Under (win a free book)
Mar 29, 2018

Baseball is here! And more importantly, that means the over/under game is back. It seems as though everyone is an expert this time of year. Somehow we convince ourselves that we are better at predicting baseball outcomes than everyone else. Well, AFITB is putting that to the test for the third year in a row. Think you know more about baseball than us? You probably do. But go ahead and prove it anyway.
